Volunteering

BYW has no paid employees, and is a non-profit organization.  Our club is only as good as the level of support we get from our parents.  The level of sophistication and amount of features offered by BYW is entirely dependent on interest brought by the parents, and can vary from year to year.

No experience is necessary.   We teach volunteers everything they need to know, whether you are interested in coaching or helping in administration.

The state of Pennsylvania requires that all youth coaches and many other volunteers that work directly with children, must have a PA Child Abuse History Clearance.     Here are some frequently asked questions. 

The process should not cost you anything and really only takes a few minutes of your time.  

If you have lived in PA for the last ten years, there are only two steps:

• PA Child Abuse History Clearance.

If you have lived outside of Pennsylvannia in the last 10 years, you must also get an FBI background check.
